President of ICR 2020

President’s welcome message:
It is my great honor to invite you to the 37th Iranian Congress of Radiology (ICR 2022) to be held on May 10-13, 2022, in Tehran, Iran.
Although the pandemic crisis had a negative impact on all of us, it demonstrated the strength of our society. We not only did not give up but stayed united in support of each other to fight at the forefront against the pandemic. While the tremendous impact of the COIVD-19 crisis made our society cancel the face-to-face meetings in 2020 and 2021, we, like many other international meetings, planned to set up an in-person congress again featuring onsite activities from the world of medical imaging.
Following more than three decades of experience, the 37th annual ICR is planned to cover all different aspects of radiology, including four main themes of Abdominal Imaging, Breast Imaging, Artificial Intelligence, and Interventional Radiology, to offer a comprehensive program on the latest innovations in imaging and treatment to the medical imaging professionals. Radiology has witnessed impressive advancements in Iran over the past years. Currently, it is contributing to a wide spectrum of services from screening and early diagnosis to advanced patient management and treatment. The scientific committee of ICR 2022 is preparing a rich program that participants can fully engage and be part of the learning. In line with the latest updates in the scientific program, some new sessions and features will be launched in the congress including “Young ICR”, “National AI Challenge”, “Ultrasound Village”, and “Jeopardy Quiz” which will greatly attract the participants in an interactive and motivating multidisciplinary environment. Parallel to the onsite congress, we are delighted to welcome the outstanding international speakers through the specific virtual sessions to deliver brilliant lectures and share their exquisite knowledge and experience with the Iranian radiologists.
Once again, the congress venue will be the International Convention Center at Milad Tower, Tehran, as one of famous Iran’s landmarks. The health and well-being of our guests, registrants, and staff is our top priority; therefore, we will, of course, monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and follow all government-recommended quarantine guidelines.
I am confident that the ICR 2022 will provide excellent opportunities for the participants to meet other colleagues and learn, interact and engage with speakers and industry representatives. I am very much looking forward to welcoming you and wishing you a wonderful experience at ICR 2022 in Tehran.
