Welcome to the 36th Iranian Congress of Radiology!

The upcoming Congress, the first to be held under the new board of the ISR, ith its novel managerial and academic attitude, is set to enjoy distinguished features from the previous Congresses. The ISR has decided to accept the request of our colleagues to postpone the date of the Congress from March which falls on the holy month of Ramadan when the majority of the people are fasting, to November which would also coincide with commemoration of the international radiology day, which shall add to the merits of this change. Last year was indeed a harsh year for all consultant radiologists, radiology residents and the involved personnel who were in the forefront of combating the Corona virus. Nonetheless, we are proud that the ordeal has been surpassed by our society in a resourceful and scientific manner. Despite the overwhelming job of our overworked radiologists and faculty during the Corona outbreak, the scientific committee of the 36th Congress commenced its coordination activities in as early as December 2019, Like previous years, the organizing committee of this year’s Congress has endeavoured to exploit the available IT facilities such as the social media and the application of the Congress with increased accessibility and reduce hard copies and paper work as much as possible, in the interest of preservation of our environment. I hope our fellow radiologists find the scientific content, the timing schedule and the designated social events of the Congress, which are the result of time consuming and relentless efforts of many distinguished colleagues fruitful and in line with their interests.
