Welcome message-ISR President*

Dear Colleagues and distinguished guests, welcome to the 37th ICR! I am cordially glad to make the acquaintance of all of you in here after 3 years of virtual congresses and Corona lock down.

Although during the past 3 years our society has pioneered in web based academic programs and vocational training schemes through its various scientific committees and faculty, the merits of a real congress and its potential to cover various aspects of the science of imaging is now appreciated. I take this opportunity to thank all members of the Iranian Society of Radiology for their devoted and relentless service in the diagnosis and treatment of patients during the pandemic which genuinely reflected the level of professional commitment among our colleague’s radiologists, and technologists included.

Our thoughts with our lost colleagues in the past year (Prof. Akbar Bonakdarpoor, Prof. Saeed Rad, Dr. Shahram Kahkouei, Prof. Javad Jannati) and our tribute to their outstanding contributions in our previous scientific events. I also feel most obliged about the martyrs of our healthcare system (especially radiologists) who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty during the COVID outbreak.

I am honored to have Prof. Radmard as the president of the present congress who works with a panel of most renowned faculty as members of our scientific committees to make our congress as fruitful as possible.

We have endeavored to cover mainstream educational needs of radiologists in all aspects of this discipline as well as the latest information on Artificial Intelligence and legal issues related to digital imaging
